The Furnace Girl

Kraig Moreland (Lake Bluff resident and founder/owner of NVA sports) recently authored a work of historical fiction released this past July. 

Kraig’s book, The Furnace Girl, lays out the plausible theory of what happened to the woman killed in the Lake Bluff Village Hall in 1928. It is told through the eyes of a young orphan boy, whose harrowing journey makes him an accidental witness to the crime.

The book is getting a lot of buzz. It sold almost 1,000 copies in its first four weeks, Larry Potash did a feature on it in a new primetime show he hosted this fall on WGN, and it was featured in Forest and Bluff and Sheridan Rd magazine.
