Each fiscal year, the President of the Rotary Club of Lake Forest-Lake Bluff publishes a Presidential Message.
Thea Colwell, President 2025-2026
Rotary’s vision is that “together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.”

And have fun… We gather for weekly breakfasts with a speaker and social hours. We enjoy events such as socials at member’s homes, a beach party, a holiday party, golf outings, and a bocce ball outing. When traveling, we connect with fellow business and community leaders.

Each of our members brings a unique set of skills and interests. Through Rotary, you can make connections, share ideas, and take actions. Find purpose in making a positive difference. Local hands-on service projects include providing food, warm coats, and books to children in neighboring communities. Our club and local foundation, the Lake Forest – Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation, have donated more than $1 million to local and global causes.

When you join Rotary, you’re joining both a local club and one of the world’s largest service and fellowship organizations. Globally, Rotary works toward peace, disaster recovery, clean water, fighting diseases, saving mothers and children, literacy and education, growing economies, and protecting the environment. Over one million members around the globe unite for good. Rotary International’s foundation, The Rotary Foundation, has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects such as working to end polio.

We have a greater impact serving together!

Peter Elmer, Past President 2024-2025
“Service Above Self”. This is the motto our club membership continues to live by since 1959. Our membership of friends, neighbors, community leaders and problem-solvers, see a world were they take-action and make a lasting change – across the globe, in our local communities and in themselves. The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation, our charitable committee, has donated more than $1 million to global and local communities causes. One of our main projects is “Operation Warm”, where we have donated more than 7,000 winter coats to children in our local communities. We also support food pantries and pack food to send over-seas.

We are people of action and problem solvers. We live by our motto, “Service Above Self”. Most importantly, we like to have fun.

Come join the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club family with your ideas and together we will make a difference. Complete the application form on this site and come to one of our weekly Wednesday morning meetings.
