As our Club members know, there are several ways we can support our own club's charitable activities as well as the global work of Rotary International. Below is an update on our two fellowship programs.

Paul Harris Fellowship

We have seven new Paul Harris Fellows this Rotary year, benefiting The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. The Club still has matching funds of $3,250 available for this Rotary year ending on June 30, 2015. For a $250 member contribution, the club will match $250 and a donor from Rotary District 6440 will match the combined $500 of new cash to earn a Paul Harris Fellow for yourself or a family member or friend.

You may also earn a Paul Harris Fellowship without the benefit of club or district matching by making payments directly in any amount over any period of time at The Rotary Foundation website, You may also learn your history of giving to The Rotary Foundation by logging on to the website.

Fred Jackson Fellowship

We have nine new Fred Jackson Fellows this Rotary year and nine more partial Fred Jackson Fellows, raising almost $11,000 for our local Club Foundation. A Fred Jackson Fellowship is earned when $1,000 is contributed to the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation. We accept partial contributions of $100 or more to earn a Fred Jackson Fellowship. The Club has only $196 of matching funds remaining for this Rotary year on a first-come, first-served basis.

We will give Fred Jackson Fellowship credit (to anyone who asks) for support of our 2015 Economic Breakfast at the level of $100 or more. Buy two tickets for $150 and you will get credit toward a Fred Jackson Fellowship; buy a table for $500 and you are halfway there. Credit will also be given for sponsorships and advertising. If you wish to receive credit for a Fred Jackson Fellowship for your contribution to the Economic Breakfast, please notify me by e-mail (credit will not be given unless requested) and make your contribution of at least $100.

Fred Jackson Fellowship lapel pins and certificates are in production and will soon be available. You will be very proud when you see them.

If any members have questions about giving opportunities to either The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International or our own Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation, please contact me or speak to me at any club meeting. Thanks to all for the great support this Rotary year.
