2010-2011 Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation Final Report

The Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Rotary Club Foundation Board of Trustees has successfully completed its inaugural year.  Previously, the Club’s Board had served in this capacity. This year a separate Board was formed to direct management of the Foundation’s investments for long-term philanthropic purposes. The LF-LB Rotary Club Foundation Permanent Fund was established with an initial $50,000 donation from the Club during the 2009-10 Celebration of its 50th year.

The Foundation Board: Len Dedo Foundation President, Chris Webb Foundation Vice-President , Fred Jackson Foundation Secretary, Joe Erkenswick Foundation Treasurer ,  and Trustees; Don Fiore, Charlene Kalebic and Rick Lesser (ex officio) were proud to serve.  During this past year, the Foundation Board drafted the Foundation By-Laws for adoption by the Club, formulated an investment policy statement, and engaged a financial professional to invest on its behalf.

In 2010-11, the Club made an additional $5,000 donation to the Permanent Fund. This generous gift will help to make the Permanent Fund grow more quickly to meaningful dimension. Looking forward the Permanent Fund will serve to ensure the  Club’s philanthropy for Giving in Our Community and Our World  future success.
